Tatarstan State Committee for Tariffs explains the reasons for the increase in tariffs for housing and utility services since July 2024

05.12.2023

On December 5, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, the Chairman of Tatarstan State Committee for Tariffs Aleksandr Grunichev said that scheduled indexation of utility tariffs will occur in all regions of Russia from July 1, 2024, after a one and a half year break. There was no indexation in 2023.

“In accordance with the requirements of federal legislation, the State Committee of the republic on Tariffs is obliged to approve tariffs for 2024 by December 20 of the current year. Tariffs will be calculated taking into account the socio-economic development forecast indicators approved by the Russian Government,” Grunichev said.

According to the forecast of the Committee, the price of gas will rise by 76 kopecks from July 1.

In the sphere of gas supply and electricity supply, almost all tariff decisions are taken at the federal level, and they are uniform in all municipalities of the republic.

The main reasons for the increase in tariffs for housing and utility services in Tatarstan from July 1, 2024 are the increase in prices for energy resources, the increase in wages in the non-budgetary sector, the costs of operating new facilities, as well as the increase in the consumer price index, Grunichev specified.
