On 25 November at a meeting held by the Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshinn by video conference with all municipalities of the republic, the regional Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Lenar Garipov informed about preparation of agricultural machinery for field work in 2024.
He said that 11 thousand tractors, 3 thousand harvesting combines, more than one thousand forage harvesters and more than 5 thousand sowers and 5 thousand tillage combines are to be repaired with the total cost of work making 5.6bn rubles. By 1 April next year tractors, sowing and tillage machines must be ready, Lenar Garipov told.
He also informed that work on harvesting sugar beet is still going on as 470 thousand tonnes of it still waits to be transported from the fields. About 1.2m tonnes of sugar beet have already been delivered to plants and 145 600 tonnes of sugar has been produced, Lenar Garipov concluded.
