Rustam Minnikhanov: The 300th anniversary of the Kazan Orthodox Theological Seminary should be celebrated at the highest level

On November 18, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that on November 20 and 21, a number of events of great public importance dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the foundation of the Kazan Orthodox Theological Seminary will be held in the capital of Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that under the anniversary celebrations, a scientific and practical conference “Theology and secular sciences: traditional and new relationships” will be held on November 20. The meeting will be dedicated to the heritage of the theological school and the prospects for the development of theological science. On November 21, the V Forum of the Orthodox Community of Tatarstan will be held at the at the Korston Recreation and Culture Center. As many as 600 delegates from Kazan, Chistopol and Almetyevsk dioceses, the highest clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church, representatives of federal and regional authorities, science and culture are expected to attend the event. “All events should be carried out at the highest level,” the Rais of Tatarstan emphasized.
