Aleksey Pesoshin: Community policemen make a substantial contribution into strengthening of the public order

On 17 November, speaking at a ceremonial event dedicated to 100th anniversary of the establishment of community policemen service, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that being one of the oldest and most important units of the internal law-enforcement bodies, the community policemen service makes a substantial contribution into strengthening of the public order. 

He emphasized that for this hundred year’s period the service has passed a difficult path and underwent numerous changes. “Even though the form and the names of the service changed the essence has always remained the same – a community policeman has been and still is the important link between the police and population,” the Head of the regional Government pointed out. 

He stated that professional duties of community policemen are related to many spheres of life of people, such as migration processes monitoring, following ecological regulations, checks of gun owners and many others and added that under the conditions of the special military operation and strenuous foreign political situation, community policemen also take an active part in providing stability, protecting public order and ensuring safety of population in the new regions of our country.

“Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the service we should not forget about its old stagers who were at its origin and created the service history and glory. I am sure that due to the experience gained by their predecessors, the current generation of the service fulfills its civic duties and work with honor,” Aleksey Pesoshin concluded and handed in a number of state awards of the republic to policemen for responsible fulfillment of their duties and high achievements.
