On November 16, at the Korston Recreation and Culture Center in Kazan, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a solemn event in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Chief Veterinary Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan.
Aleksey Pesoshin emphasized that the development of the agro-industrial complex has been and remains one of the strategic priorities of the economic and social policy of Tatarstan. “The development of the industry is impossible without veterinary services and maintaining stable epizootic welfare. The stable operation of large livestock and poultry complexes, farms and private farm household of the population, ensuring food security and self-sufficiency of the republic depends on the successful and coordinated work of all levels of the state veterinary service,” Tatarstan Prime Minister said. He underlined that over the past 30 years, the Chief Veterinary Department and its subordinate institutions have been actively developing and the material and technical base has significantly improved. Since 2013, under the implementation of regional programmes, as many as 30 million roubles have been allocated annually for the repair of buildings and structures of regional and city state veterinary associations. In total, 243 buildings and structures were repaired under the programme. In the period from 2014 to 2016, 126 modular-block local veterinary stations were built and successfully provide veterinary services.
Then, Pesoshin handed in a number of state awards for the great contribution to the veterinary well-being of the republic.
