On 14 November, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin has informed that residents of the republic have been send more than 2.2m tax notices according to which they must pay 9.1bn of property taxes which is nearly by 500m more than last year.
Giving the details of taxes to be collected, Marat Safiullin said: “As many as 5bn rubles out of 9.1bn are transport taxes, 2.8bn – property taxes and 1.3bn of land tax. In addition that tax notices also include 375m rubles of income taxes.”
Having informed that compared to the last year, the land tax increased by 10 per cent, the property tax – by 11 and the transport tax by 2 per cent, the Head of the of the Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan told that as of today residents of the republic have already paid 4.8bn of taxes for 2022 which makes nearly a half of the total amount of 9.1bn rubles.
He added that property tax arrears in the republic have decreased to 1.5bn rubles, which is by 1.3bn less than in the beginning of the current year.
Marat Safiullin also said that about 12 thousand residents of the republic cannot go outside of the country because of non-payment of taxes.
Tatarstan residents should pay their property tax by 1 December 2023.
