Address from Rustam Minnikhanov on the occasion of the National Unity Day

In his address on the occasion of the National Unity Day the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said:

“Dear Tatarstan residents! Dear compatriots! From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you with the National Unity Day!

Centuries-long history of the Russian state will always be for us the evidence of highest moral courage of our multinational people.

Four centuries ago representatives of all classes and ethnicities took part in freeing the native land and overcoming the internal unrest. And in the years to follow the occupants could not break our will, faith and strive for freedom, justice and unity.

Today under conditions of unprecedented pressure on our country the best sons of the Fatherland, including many Tatarstan residents, are taking part in protection of sovereignty of Russia, providing security of our multi-ethnic and multi-confessional Motherland.  And this will be the case.

Tatarstan makes a substantial contribution into strengthening of Russian statehood, integrity of the country and is an example of peace and concord among representatives of various ethnicities and confessions. Together with the power bodies, representatives of different ethnicities, living in the republic carefully preserve their unique culture, languages and traditions.

In the Year of National Cultures and Traditions we can see the brightest reflection of it in strong ties of times and generations and their rich cultural heritage.”

In conclusion of his address the Rais of Tatarstan wished everyone good health, peace, goodness and prosperity.
