On November 1, under St. Petersburg International Gas Forum at the Gas Science and Innovation stand, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Deputy Chairman of Gazprom Company – Head of Department 623 of Gazprom Company Oleg Aksyutin, at which they discussed the issues of gas supply of prospective consumers on the territory of Innokam cluster. Minnikhanov emphasized that at the end of 2022, the volume of natural gas consumption by enterprises of the main industrial zones «Innokam», which includes the factories of Nizhnekamsk, Naberezhny Chelny, Yelabuga and Zainsk amounts to 12.4 billion cubic meters, which makes 70 per cent of the total gas consumption of Tatarstan, making 17.7 billion cubic meters. According to the estimates of the investment projects under consideration and the prospective growth of gas demand, in 2030 the annual gas consumption in the republic may grow to 30 billion cubic meters, including that in Innokama - up to 22 billion cubic meters.
In this regard, today the General Scheme of Gas Supply and Gasification of Tatarstan has been updated, taking into account the inclusion of the second line of the Mozhga-Yelabuga gas pipeline. As of September of the current year, the general scheme has been approved by the Government of Tatarstan and approval is being completed in the departments of Gazprom Company. In addition, the meeting discussed issues of cooperation between Gazprom Company and a number of Tatarstan companies, including Korib and ICL, as well as scientific and technical cooperation with Innopolis.
Minnikhanov and Aksyutin also took part in the ceremony of signing of two agreements. Innopolis University has agreed on cooperation with Gazprom VNIIGAZ (All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gases and Gas Technologies) and the Comita group of companies.
