Rais of Tatarstan meets Artistic Director of Yalla Band Farrukh Zokirov

On 27 October, speaking at his meeting in the Government House of the republic with the Artistic Director of the Uzbek Yalla folk rock band - a pop-singer Farrukh Zokirov, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that strengthening of friendly relations of Russia with countries of Asia and East is one of priority tasks and Tatarstan at its level is doing its best to facilitate this process.

He informed that promising spheres for further development of cooperation were accentuated during the recent visit of Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kazan and interaction in culture occupies an important place among them. 

The folk rock band  came to Tatarstan to take part in an international festival of national cultures “Russia-East” (The Oriental Bazar in Kazan’), which was held in the capital of the republic from 20 to 27 October with representatives of 40 national cultures from 25 countries and 15 regions of Russia.

The Rais of Tatarstan thanked Farrukh Zokirov for his attention to the festival and his large contribution into development of music and handed him in a badge to the honorary title of “The People’s Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan.”
