Roman Shaykhutdinov meets the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov

On October 24, Tatarstan delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Roman Shaykhutdinov arrived on a working visit in the Republic of Uzbekistan to establish cooperation in information and communication technologies.

At their meeting the Tatarstan delegation including the regional Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications Ayrat Khayrullin, Director General of the Innopolis Special Econonic Zone Renat Khalimov, Vice-Rector of Innopolis University Evgeniy Bobrov, Tatarstan representative in Uzbekistan Aydar Akhtareev and other officials and the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov discussed the use of competences of Innopolis in IT education and development of IT products for the economy of Uzbekistan.

For example, Innopolis is ready to develop drones for air cargo transportation and territory monitoring, organize a cybersecurity system and implement joint educational projects in IT training. Innopolis University, which has been training IT specialists through accelerated training programmes since 2016, is ready to share this experience. Also, on the basis of the Russian IT University there is a Basic Educational Centre, which has trained more than 30 thousand teachers of universities and colleges of the country in digital technologies.
