Roman Shaykhutdinov congratulates the winners of the Russian Championship in Sports Programming

On October 16, the Russian Championship in sports programming among schoolchildren took place in Innopolis. The winners of the country’s first official competitions in sports programming became candidates for the Russian national team in this discipline. A total of 68 students from 14 Russian regions took part in the championship. Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Roman Shaykhutdinov, Deputy Executive Director of the All-Russian Federation of Sports Programming Emin Mintsayev and Director of Innopolis University Kirill Semenikhin congratulated students at the closing ceremony.

The contest was held under the federal project “Sport is the norm of life.” Participants of the championship are invited winners and prize-winners of All-Russian and international Olympiads: International Olympiad in Informatics IOI-2023, All-Russian Olympiad for Schoolchildren-2023 and Interregional Olympiad for Schoolchildren in Informatics and Computer Security.

Competitions in the discipline “Programming of Information Security Systems” were held in sports programming for the first time. In the individual competition, athletes found vulnerabilities on the corporate portal and set up administrative access.

The championship ended with a five-hour contest in «Algorithmic programming», where athletes quickly solved 8 problems of various complexity.

The winners and prize-winners of the Russian Championship in sports programming will receive certificates for a grant, giving an opportunity to study at the University of Innopolis free of charge. Prospective applicants will only have to confirm this grant with Unified State Exam points.
