About 148 thousand children from Tatarstan rested in children's recreation camp in summer

On October 10, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan, Minister of Youth of the republic Rinat Sadykov said that this summer, about 148 thousand children from Tatarstan rested in children's recreation camps, which makes 91 per cent of the plan.

Children rested in 131 country permanent camps with a total coverage of more than 70,000 people, including 12 sanatorium-resort recreation organizations with treatment by the Ministry of Health with a coverage of about 3.5 thousand people and four camps located on the Black Sea coast with a total coverage of almost 5,000 people,” the Minister said.

He also added that during the summer, 46 tent-type camps with a total coverage of about 10,000 people and 1,377 day camps, labor and recreation camps with a total coverage of about 70,000 people operated through the Ministry of Education and Science in Tatarstan.

Sadykov said that about 500 children were sent to the Artek International Children's Center and the Orlyonok All-Russian Children's Center. These are socially active, creatively gifted children, winners of competitions and Olympiads.

In total, over 2.3 billion roubles were spent on organizing a summer children's health campaign in Tatarstan, which is 19 per cent more than last year's budget.
