Rustam Minnikhanov visits a number of facilities in the historical center of Kazan

On October 10, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Aide to the Rais of Tatarstan Olesya Baltusova and Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin, visited a number of facilities in the historical center of Kazan.

The first place in the programme of visit was the building of the Fire Station in the Admiralteyskaya Sloboda. This is a significant urban object, an object of architecture of the 1930s.

During the detour, a proposal from the Committee for Children and Youth Affairs of the Kazan Executive Committee to convert the depot into a youth center was presented. It is proposed to organize technical classes to train future designers and engineers. Rustam Minnikhanov supported the proposal and gave instructions to inspect the building.

They also visited the renovated Fisherman's Garden, located near the Fire Station.

The detour participants also visited a cultural heritage site - an 18th century residential building on Gayaz Ishaki street, Aleksandrov-Petzold brewery complex 1905, which will be improved and will place a gallery, a restaurant of Tatar national cuisine, offices, co-working space, a hotel, as well as public spaces, and  got acquainted with the results of the improvement of Yunusovskaya Square.

After that, Minnikhanov was presented the plans for the development of the territory adjacent to the Nizhny Kaban lake and the building of Galiaskar Kamal theatre under construction.

Later on the same day, the Rais of the republic took part in the opening of the bridge on Nursultan Nazarbayev Street after reconstruction.

In conclusion, Minnikhanov visited the Gorky culture and recreation park, where the reconstruction of the entrance group is underway. Here Minnikhanov got acquainted with the project of the Kazan city cable car “Aerobridge”, which will count three stations: the Gorky park, extreme park «Uram» and a ground near the stadium «Ak Bars Arena”.
