On 5 October, during his working trip to Kazan, Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev accompanied by Russian Deputy Prime Minister- the Minister of Industry and Trade of the country Denis Manturov and the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov attended the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center and got acquainted with investments, industrial and economic potential of the republic.
The Head of Tatarstan Investments Development Agency Taliya Minullina, who told the guests about main branches of economy of the republic, informed that by the results of 2022 the foreign trade turnover of the republic was estimated as 18.9bn dollars. Last year the trade turnover between Tatarstan and Uzbekistan showed the 50 per cent growth and reached 290m dollars. In the first six months of the current year the trade turnover grew by another 30 per cent and Tatarstan , in particular its Chamber of Commerce and such leading companies of the republic as the KAMAZ, the Special Economic Zone of Alabuga, KIP Master, Eidos and others, actively interacts with Uzbekistan partners, she said.
Joins projects are being implemented. Thus last year the Khimgrad from Tatarstan and Uzbekistan partners opened the joint project of chemical and industrial park in Chirchik and Kazan Federal University opened its branch in Dzhizak, as well as the second joint technical park was opened in Dzhizak in April this.
As many as 70 companies and educational institutions of Tatarstan took part in the exhibition. The Kazan Helicopter Plant exhibited its Ansat helicopter with the medical module, which has the most spacious cabin with the complete medical resuscitation module for a patient and doctors. Today Ansats are used for medical aviation all over the country with 28 machines have already been passed to the National Sanitary Aviation Service.
At the stand of the Special Economic Zone of Alabuga, Shavkat Mirziyoyev was told about the Alabuga Politech project, where Rustam Minnikhanov informed that the Educational Center can train 10 thousand students a year implementing the dual programme when for the first half of the day they learn how to work the modern equipment under supervision of mentorship of the best engineers of the SEZ resident plants and after lunch they study subjects at vocational schools. At the same time they pass internship at operating units of the company.
At its exposition he KAMAZ Automaker showed several truck models, including a road tractor, a dump truck, an electrobus and the sports KAMAZ Master Team truck.
Such companies as RariTEk Holding, POElaz, Sollers, Yalkyn and regional manufacturers if agricultural machinery, pharmaceuticals and microelectronics also exhibited their produce and the Special Economic Zone of Innopolis showed solutions of its resident-companies.
Later the same day Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Denis Manturov and Rustam Minnikhanov summarized results of the III Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan, which was held with participation of more than 700 business representatives from 19 regions of Russian and 12 – from Uzbekistan. The business programme of the forum included discussion of issues of broadening the bilateral cooperation in transport and logistics, industrial, tourist and youth spheres.
