In his address on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin on behalf of the Government of the republic and from him personally congratulated old stagers of the republic with the holiday.
“The Day of Older Persons is a special date and a remarkable opportunity to express your respect, homage and gratitude to the older generation.
You are the live connection of times and generations. Knowledge and experience gained by you are especially important in modern conditions when together with the initiative young people need the wisdom of life of the elderly. You have passed us a wonderful baton of inexhaustible diligence and eternal fidelity to the Motherland.
Despite their age many old stagers are still active in public work, are involved in military-patriotic and moral upbringing of the young generation. Please accept sincere gratitude for what you have done and continue doing for the country and the republic. Your experience and wisdom are highly appreciated and they are our foundation for solving the most important tasks of the social and economic development of the republic.
We say special thanks to war veterans and Homefront workers who by feat of arms and hard work at the production lines overcame hardships of the war time, protected the Fatherland and restored the country. Today you still are the personification of confidence that we can overcome any life hardships.”
In conclusion Aleksey Pesoshin wished old stagers good health, spiritual balance, everlasting interest in life and love and respect from the near and dear ones.
