Rais of Tatarstan gives an errand to hold events dedicated to the Decade of the Aged and the Teacher’s Day at the high level

On 30 September, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the beginning of October is marked by important dates -  The Day of the Aged (October 1) and World Teacher’s Day (October 5)  and it is necessary to organize these events at the high level.

Rustam Minnikhanov underlined that by their work the people of older generation laid the foundation of our country and the republic and created the potential for successful development for many years to come. Today they are making a big contribution into the upbringing of young people, he said.

“Care for the elderly is one of priority tasks. This day gives us an opportunity once again say most heartfelt thanks to the older generation, our teachers and mentors,” the Rais of the republic said.

Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to organize honoring of old stagers in work teams and other events with participation of the regional officials.

He also reminded that more than 32 thousand school teachers of the republic will celebrate their professional holiday on the coming Thursday and added: “ The Ministry of Science and Education and heads of municipalities must organize honoring ceremonies of teachers on the occasion of their professional holiday.”
