Rustam Minnikhanov: Residents of new regions are courageously struggling for their right to be with Russia

On 30 September, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that residents of new regions are courageously struggling for their right to be with Russia.

Today Russia is celebrating the Day of Reunification of Donetsk and Lugansk republics and Zaporozhe and Kherson regions with Russia and the Rais of the republic continued:” A year ago residents of these regions defined their political and civic status by voting for joining our country. In the current year legislative bodies of regions and representatives bodies in municipalities, including Lisichanks and Rubezhnoe supported by our republic, have been established as a result of high activity of voters.”

He said that huge work in restoration of infrastructure in the new regions lies ahead. “We have already started this work. Of course Tatarstan will provide full support to our compatriots. These people courageously struggle for their interests and the right to be with Russia and we must support them,” the Rais of the republic concluded.
