Rustam Minnikhanov meets the acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Amir Khan Muttaqi

On 29 September at their meeting in the Kazan Kremlin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Amir Khan Muttaqi, who came to Kazan to take part in the V session of the Moscow Format of Consultations on Afghanistan, discussed issues of interaction within the framework of Russia-Afghanistan relations. In particular, Rustam Minnikhanov said that today it is important to create conditions for progressive development as well as to solve humanitarian issues.

He informed that on the errand from Russian President Vladimir Putin he is the Head of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-Islamic World,” some of the main tasks of which is to facilitate of the process of further bringing Russia closer to the Islamic world on the cultural and civilizational basis, establishment of economic cooperation and expansion of partnership of youth and public organizations.

We have active interaction with the Islamic world and countries, which are members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Rustam Minnikhanov stated.

In his turn Amir Khan Muttaqi said that modern Afghanistan has a high potential for economic cooperation and well as in the spheres of trade and investments.
