Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in events dedicated to the Turkmenistan Independence Day

On 27 September the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came to Ashgabat the previous day as a head of a delegation of heads of companies implementing large projects in Turkmenistan, took part in the events dedicated to the Turkmenistan Independence Day. During the visit the delegation had meetings with the President of the country Serdar Berdimuhamedow and the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty (People’s Council) Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow., where they discussed cooperation in trade and economic spheres. The parties also discussed work of Turkmen-Tatar working group in trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation.

Under difficult situation in the world, cooperation between Russia and Turkmenistan gains a special meaning and Tatarstan is ready to exert all efforts for strengthening these relations, Rustam Minnikhanov said.

Yesterday the Rais of Tatarstan also had a tour round the City of Arkadag.
