Rustam Minnikhanov and Maksud Shadayev open the Kazan Digital Week-2023 Forum

On 20 September the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadayev, Russian Deputy Minister of Transport Dmitriy Bakanov and the Director General of the Agency on Development of Professions and Skills Robert Urazov took part in a ceremony of opening the International forum Kazan Digital Week-2023 and the V branch championship in digital technologies DigitalSkills-2023 at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Kazan Digital Week is an efficient and popular platform focused on the most burning tasks in digital development. “Kazan Digital Week has been given the federal status and I would like to express huge words of gratitude for that to the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin, who attaches special attention to issues of digitalization. Everything that will be represented at the forum is of applied character,” he said.  

In his turn Maksut Shadayev stated that during the years of its existence the Kazan Digital Week has become the largest platform uniting leading representatives of the IT sphere. “The number of participants and companies-exponents is growing every year which testifies to the fact that digitalization is gaining momentum in the country. The most important is that at this platform people discuss the new trends of the branch. I would like to thank Tatarstan for having organized this event,” he said. 

The main objective of the Kazan Digital Week held at the Kazan Expo from 20 to 22 September with participation of 20 000 people and more than 1 300 speakers from Russia and abroad is to facilitate exchange of scientific and technical information, consolidation of scientific and technological assets which can efficiently solve issues of import-replacement and import-proactive as well as provision of the technological sovereignty of the country.

As many 650 competitors and experts from Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Iran, Ghana, Uzbekistan, the SAR, Malaysia and other countries will take part in the V branch championship in digital technologies DigitalSkills-2023 held on the sidelines of the forum. 

After the opening ceremony Rustam Minnikhanov and Maksut Shadayev got acquainted with the branch exposition of the forum showing high-tech developments, software, software-hardware complexes and working samples of equipment exhibited by 216 companies.
