On 18 September at their meeting in Moscow, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came to the Russian capital on a working visit, and the Director General of the Tourism RF Corporation Sergey Sukhanov discussed implementation of the unique all-year round resort Kazan Marina on the bank of the Volga River.
Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the Kazan Marina project is very important for the development of tourism and hospitality industry in the republic and will facilitate the increase of the tourist flow into the region.
Sergey Sukhanov thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for his personal involvement and attention paid to the project and stated that the comprehensive development of the tourist territory will be possible due to all provided support measures, assessable financing and development of the necessary infrastructure.
The future resort Kazan Marina is acknowledged as a priority investment project which will make it possible to provide additional privileges to investors during its implementation. The key support measures will include preferential loans, subsidizing supporting infrastructure construction which will also have a substantial impact on the economy of the region by creating up to 1 900 new jobs. Previously the Master plan of the project was approved at a meeting of the Tourism. RF Board of Directors held by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitriy Chernyshenko.
The Kazan Marina will become a new tourist attraction point in Tatarstan and the first Center with Marina on the Volga built in the last 30 years.
