On 7 September, speaking at the his meeting with the Chairman of the President of The Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia Zhou Liqun on the sidelines of the international economic forum “ROSTKI: Russia and China-mutually beneficial cooperation” held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center in Kazan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the republic has rich experience of cooperation with China within Russia-China relations. The trade turnover is growing and Chinese business works successfully in Tatarstan implementing industrial projects and building production facilities due to successful work of the General Consulate of China in Kazan and the Tatarstan Representative Office in Beijing, he said.
“China has been always interesting for our republic. Despite all difficulties during the pandemic, we can see the growing interest of Chinese entrepreneurs to our market and interest of Russian business in China. Tatarstan companies are also attentively monitoring Chinese market and technologies,” the Rais of the republic stated.
Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that the Union acts as a bridge connecting Russian and Chinese businesses and facilitating the economic cooperation. “Tatarstan welcomes Chinese investors in the republic .We have all necessary conditions for their comfortable work. There are successful examples: the large company Haier has localized a number of its production lines here,” he informed.
In his turn Zhou Liqun told that he is well acquainted with investment opportunities and economic potential of Tatarstan as the Haier is a member of the Union. He also added that today (September 7) he signed an agreement with the Tatarstan Investments Development agency.
The Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia, which comprises numerous representatives of Chinese businesses working in the Russian market, was established in 2006. Its main mission is to facilitate development of Russia-China economic cooperation, to coordinate provision of consulting and legal services and to deepen a dialogue of Chinese entrepreneurs with Russian power bodies and business circles.
