On 7 September, speaking at the his meeting with the President of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronics Zhang Yujing on the sidelines of the international economic forum “ROSTKI: Russia and China-mutually beneficial cooperation” held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center in Kazan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked his guest for his participation in the international economic forum “ROSTKI: Russia and China-mutually beneficial cooperation. “This is a perfect new platform for discussing important issues of interaction, organizing meetings and achieving concrete agreements,” he said
He attracted attention to the fact that Tatarstan has active cooperation with Chinese partners, with the trade turnover having increased more than by 58 per cent last year.
“You are the head of the Chinese section of the Russia-China Chamber which creates conditions for implementation of concrete projects in the spheres of non-raw materials export, transfer of technologies and investments cooperation,” the Rais of the republic said and proposed to organize mutual business-missions to strengthen business ties.
In his turn Zhang Yujing told that Chinese enterprises are interested in developing cooperation with Tatarstan. “I am sure that due to the exhibition and sessions Chinese entrepreneurs will have a deeper understanding of the investments climate and learn more about cooperation opportunities,” he said and assured that the Chamber is ready to facilitate brining companies together including active cooperation with Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce.
The Russia-China Chamber was established by the initiative of leaders of Russia and China in 2007 with its main objectives being to create conditions for implementation of concrete projects in the spheres of non-raw materials export, transfer of technologies and investments cooperation. It organizes various events for enterprises and organizations of both countries, aimed at stimulation of trade-industrial and scientific technical exchanges.
The China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronics, uniting more than 15 000 companies, was established in July 1988 with its mission being providing services for its members in foreign trade, industry, marketing, and information and education.
