Rustam Minnikhanov gives an errand to develop Master-plan of a new public space along Kirov dam

On 5 September, after having walked along the Kirov dam in Kazan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took a decision to improve this territory.

Currently there is no any infrastructure for pedestrian walks or recreation and taking into consideration that it is close to water it will have all water recreation facilities. 

Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to the Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities and the Institute of Space Planning of the republic together with the Kazan Mayor’s Office to develop and present a Master-plan on development of the area along the Kirov dam. The Rais of the republic emphasized that the project should be developed taking into consideration all requirements for the Kremlin zone and include the water recreation infrastructure. “The most important is that it must be comfortable for people to come here by car and park, or to use a taxi-cab,” he said.
