Rustam Minnikhanov meets Permanent Representative of Russia in WTO Dmitriy Lyakishev

On 5 September at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Permanent Representative of Russia in WTO Dmitriy Lyakishev discussed issues of developing foreign trade under the restrictive measures, search for new sales markets and supporting exporting enterprises. 

Speaking at the meeting, Dmitriy Lyakishev gave high assessment to actions taken by the administration of Tatarstan for adaptation of the republic economy, including its foreign trade, to new challenges. In particular, he emphasized that large events with international participation held in Tatarstan facilitate strengthening of trade relations of Russia with friendly countries. First of all it is the platform of the international economic forum “Russia-Islamic World’ KazanForum,” he said.

Russia has officially become the WTO member on 22 August 2012. The organization regulates about 98 per cent of the world trade of goods and services and is the only one which develops rules for multilateral trade.
