Rais of Tatarstan meets the Ambassador of Angola to Russia

On 31 August, speaking at his meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Angola to Russia Augusto da Silva Cunha on the sidelines of the Tatarstan Oil-Gas and Chemistry Forum at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Africa is unique in its natural resources and the human capital potential and its role in the world system and international relations continues to grow

“Relations between Russia and Africa have always been warm and developed constructively. Africa is our important foreign political and economic partner,” he said. 

The Rais of the republic stated that Tatarstan is interested in developing cooperation with Angola within friendly Russia-Angola relations. “Right now our trade turnover is not substantial. In different periods of time we supplied KAMAZ trucks to Angola. Your country is also the largest oil producer in Africa and we could consider possibilities for interaction in this sphere,” Rustam Minnikhanov proposed. 

He underlined that there is a large potential for developing contacts in oil processing and petrochemical industries, power and machine-building branches, car building and auto-parts manufacture, IT, medicine and pharmaceuticals and agribusiness. 

The Angolan Ambassador mentioned the high level of the organization of Tatarstan Oil-Gas and Chemistry Forum and emphasized that Angola is interested in cooperation in the oil processing sphere.
