Address from the Rais of Tatarstan on the occasion of the Day of the Republic

In his address on the occasion of the Day of the Republic the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated all residents of the republic with the holiday and said: “This public holiday unites us in our love to Motherland, personifies successes of residents of the republic, inspires for good deeds and is a bright manifestation of consolidation of citizens.”

“Today Tatarstan is one of the basic entities of the Russian Federation and a leader in a number of macro-economic indices, investments attractiveness and life quality. Our enterprises increase their productivity, large projects are under implementation in industry, construction, agriculture and other branches of industry and advance technologies and IT spheres are developing All this would be impossible without support of the Russia President Vladimir Putin, the Russian Government and hard work of residents of the republic.

We continue shaping conditions for development of science and education, medicine and social sphere, art, sports and youth policy paying special attention to education and raising the growing generation. The year announced as the Year of the Teacher and the Mentor in Russia emphasizes the importance of this work.

Ethnic-cultural and language diversity, landmark historical sites and the beauty of Tatarstan land attract people from various countries and regions. I am sure that the meeting of heads of the BRICS countries in Kazan and international tournaments the BRICS Games and The Games of the Future to be held in 2024 will also make it possible to show our potential and hospitality.

The Year of National Cultures and Traditions in Tatarstan facilitates strengthening of traditional spiritual and moral values and inter-religious concord. It is mutual respect, the support of the inter-ethnic and inter-confessional dialogue and love to Motherland that are the foundation of our unity and stability.

Today the military from the republic show courage and resilience during the special military operation, fighting hard for the future of the country and safety of its residents. We are proud of our defenders- worthy successors of heroes of the WWII. We believe in victory!”
