Rustam Minnikhanov hands in car keys to winners of the competition among municipalities of Tatarstan

On 29 August at a ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition for municipalities traditionally held on the eve of celebrations of the Day of the Republic at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov handed in car keys to winners of the competition.

The regional competition is held since 2010 and this year 100 municipalities won it. Handing in the keys, Rustam Minnikhanov said that work of the local governance bodies is very meticulous, complicated and non-rewarding.  

“You, like a lightning conductor, shoulder everything – all mistakes of the federal, regional and local level”, he said and underlined that the local governance bodies are the closest to the population and the Government of Tatarstan wants their staff to be mobile and feel satisfaction form the difficult tasks they fulfil.

“You are worth it. We congratulate you with the coming Day of the Republic and wish you good health, successful work and prosperity of all regions you represent,” he concluded.
