Rustam Minnikhanov hands in state awards on the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan

On August 29, at an official ceremony held in the Kazan Kremlin, the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov handed in state awards of the Russian Federation and Tatarstan.

He stated that the state awards are traditionally handed in on the eve of the Day of the Republic.

“I want to thank each of you for your worthy service to the Fatherland, dedication and creative work. You all deserve recognition for your hard work and talent,” Minnikhanov said.

The  Rais of Tatarstan emphasized the great contribution of the laureates of state awards to the development of the republic and the country. “Today Tatarstan is one of the leading and backbone regions of the Russian Federation, it occupies a leading position in many key indicators. Of course, those successes would not have been possible without the help of a federal centre. We are grateful to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Federal Government for their continued support of our initiatives,” Minnikhanov said.

The Rais of the republic emphasized that today in the hall there are participants of the special military operation, who show courage and dedication, protecting the interests of the country in the struggle for a peaceful future for our children.

Minnikhanov emphasized that Tatarstan is famous for its rich history, labor traditions and achievements in oil production, chemistry and petrochemistry, engineering and construction, agriculture: «Due to the selfless work of the employees of these key industries, the economic potential of the republic is growing». The Rais emphasized that the Production Association «Sergo Plant» was the first in the republic to be awarded the honorary badge of the Russian Federation "For success in work". The award is handed over in the year of the 125th anniversary of the foundation of the enterprise.

State awards are also handed in to persons of science, education and sports, culture and the spiritual sphere, medical and social workers, heads of large holdings and industrial enterprises, representatives of the judicial community, prosecutors and internal affairs bodies, successful managers and entrepreneurs.
