Rustam Minnikhanov lays flowers to the memorial complex “The Well N1” in the Settlement of Shugurovo

On 26 August, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a working trip to Leninogorsk municipal region to take part in celebrations of the 80th birthday of oil production in the republic and 75th anniversary of opening the Romashkino oil deposit, accompanied by the Head of the region Ryagat Khusainov and representatives of the oil industry visited the memorial complex “The Well N1”, which was the first oil production well in the republic commissioned on 9 September 1943,  and had a meeting with old-stagers.

Later the same day Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the exposition of the Museum of Oil in Shugurovo, where the museum Director Irina Fatykhova told him about the institution, which was built on the site of the Shugurovo oil and bitumen plant – one of the first industrial oil enterprises of Tatarstan .
