Tatarstan Ministry of Food and Agriculture: The amount of agricultural Gross product made about 107bn rubles by the results of the first half of 2023

On 25 August, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic, the regional First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Lenar Garipov reported that by the results of the first half of 2023 the amount of agricultural Gross product made about 107bn rubles.

He said that compared to the same period last year, the milk production grew by 9 per cent and made 1m 76 thousand tonnes, the egg production increased by 4 per cent, reaching 792.7m eggs and 233 thousand tonnes of meat were sold.

Lenar  Garipov informed that the positive production performance was reached also due to construction and commissioning of 6 cattle breeding farms for 5 800 animals, with 23 more facilities to be commissioned by the end of this year.

Speaking about the harvest campaign, he informed that 1. 333 thousand hectares have been already threshed producing 3m 466 thousand tonnes of grain which will make it possible to fully provide population with bread and cattle breeders – with concentrated forage.

He also said that there is 144bn rubles of dispatched production which showed the growth of more than 8 per cent.

In conclusion Lenar Garipov told about the journey from Kazan to Altay on Tatar breed horses which started from the Kazan Equestrian Center on 24 July and ended today by the memorial sign “Altay-the Heart of Eurasia”, having covered more than 3 thousand kilometers.
