Rustam Minnikhanov visits GITIS in Moscow and meets students from Tatarstan

On 24 August during his working trip to Moscow the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) and had a meeting with students form the republic. 

Today the GITIS -the only institute where students are trained in all theater majors and education degrees – and which organizes regular creative and educational labs in Tatarstan and  field master-classes- comprises 8 departments and more than 1800 students, including 42 people from Tatarstan. 

On top of that the institutes also cooperates with theatre troupes in Kazam, Nizhnekamst, Naberezhnyye Chelny and other cities of the republic, where its creative teams stage various performances. 

After Rustam Minnikhanov was shown the educational building and told about history of the institute, he had a meeting with students from the republic. Today Tatarstan GITIS graduates work in the leading theatres of Moscow and the republic.
