On 9 August at his meeting with prize winners and experts of unmanned aircraft competitions “Archipelagus-2023” in the Kazan Kremlin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave a high appraisal to the performance of the Tatarstan team.
“We are glad of your successes with all heart. Every medal was won in the conditions of high rivalry. There were 1600 participants from 85 regions and very strong teams. Despite all this you performed commendably. We are expecting new feats from you and will give you all our help,” he said.
The competitions in unmanned aviation took place in Novosibirsk from 28 July to 7 August and the team of the republic, consisting of 14 schoolchildren and students from the Kazan Aircraft University Lyceum, Kazan Aviation and Technical College after P. Dementyev, Laishevo Technical and Economic Vocational College and the Kazan ITC Vocational College won 13 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze medals in 22 events.
Rustam Minnikhanov also emphasized the efficient joint work of Tatarstan with the Agency for Professional Skills Development (WorldSkills Russia) and said: “I would like to express my special gratitude to Robert Urazov who brought a lot to professional and competitive skills in our republic. Together we mastered the WorldSkills and held the best world competition in professional mastership in Kazan in 2019. I think that WorldSkills experience helped you to achieve your results and we consider the work should have a systemic continuation,” the Rais of the republic said.
In his turn Robert Urazov informed that by an errand from Russian President Vladimir Putin the unmanned aviation competitions will be held every year as “this is the most quickly growing branch both in our country and in the world. I hope that during competitions you have gained a very useful experience. A career in unmanned aviation is the most promising today as it makes it possible to work not only in the sky but also to get skills in programming, new materials and all that which will create the economy of the future.”
The youngest unmanned aircraft operator Bulat Nurgaliyev, who is the student of the high school 8th grade, told Rustam Minnikhanov that he has been doing unmanned aviation since he was 11, when he started assembling his first drones. “I represent skills in unmanned aviation systems operation which is one of the most difficult and in demand in the current job market. Already today I get cooperation proposals from various federal companies but all my future plans are connected with Tatarstan,” he said.
One of the team coaches Marsel Nurgaliyev, who is a specialist from the Kazan ITC Vocational College, thanked for the support of the team and for creating comfortable conditions for drill exercises.
