Rustam Minnikhanov at the closing ceremony of the Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy: To keep young people from leaving, it is necessary to create conditions - normal work, the opportunity to advance

On July 22, at the Popov Administrative and Business Centre in the city of Innopolis, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the closing ceremony of the eleventh international educational forum Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy.

The final plenary discussion “Meanings and competencies of the future” was moderated by TV presenter Maksim Sharafutdinov, who read greetings on behalf of the Aide to Russian President Andrey Fursenko to campus participants.

The Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Rector of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), Director General of ANO «Russia - the country of opportunities» Aleksey Komissarov welcomed the forum participants.

Komissarov emphasized the high level of organization of the Campus. “Everything worked out at an excellent level,” he said and thanked the organizers for putting their heart into the organization of the forum and into the programme.

In his turn, Minnikhanov said that holding the Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy has already become a good tradition. “We are holding the campus for the eleventh year. We are grateful that the Presidential Academy has chosen our republic as the venue, and traditions are being observed,” he said. Rustam Minnikhanov said that the students from Tatarstan, about 80 people, take an active part in the campuses: “This is a great platform, and the participants are not only from Russia. We learn from each other. All here are active and advanced”.

Answering the question, what is the secret of Tatarstan to retain staff in the region, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “What are the challenges we face? We have a large republic with about 4 million people. Therefore, the task is to ensure that young people not only do not leave, but on the contrary, it is necessary to attract the youth here. We have many universities, we are actively linking them with our industrial enterprises. Thus, Nizhnekamsk is the largest petrochemical centre of the country. KAMAZ Automaker is in Naberezhnye Chelny. Almetyevsk is an oil center. And our task is to create educational centers of high international level there, thus creating conditions for young people to leave less. Of course, they will leave, and this is normal. The main thing is that then they come back. But in order to return, it is necessary to create conditions for them. Give a normal job, the opportunity to advance. And most importantly, young people need living conditions, living environment to meet the most modern requirements. We set such tasks for ourselves. It is important to go in this direction. Personnel today is the most important”.

Answering the question, what is the soul of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “The soul of Tatarstan is its people, its culture and history. We are all different, both Muslims and Orthodox. The main thing is the harmony in which we live, it is peace, harmony and stability.”

At the end of the event, a video «Campus 2023 Living Diary» was shown. Aleksey Kommissarov and Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the ceremony of awarding the best team for the protection of projects.
