Rustam Minnikhanov at his meeting with Rubin footballers: You must be sure that the whole republic is always with you

On 21 July before the beginning of the Russia Premier League plays 2023-2024, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Rubin Football Club, where he got acquainted with the sports facilities, such as pitches, recreation zone and players’ changing rooms.

During the club tour, the Chairman of the Club Board Marat Safiullin reported to Rustam Minnikhanov about the project of the club base modernization.

Speaking at his meeting with the administration, coaches and footballers, Rustam Minnikhanov gave a positive assessment to the play of the team where it won the 1st place in the Premiere League Season 2022-2023.

“We are sincerely happy that you have shown a fair play and we, your fans, welcome you from all our hearts and have a great hope for future games,” he said.

“We cannot love you for your victories and hate you for your losses. Together with you we will weather through your failures and rejoice over your victories. You must be sure that the whole republic is always with you. We have big plans of modernization of your facilities,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

He also thanked the Chief Coach of Rubin who does everything for his team to play for the best of its ability and positively assessed the work of the Rubin Club Board.

In conclusion Rustam Minnikhanov said: “The season will not be easy, you should move ahead. We are with you with great expectations and hope.  Godspeed,” and handed in Tatarstan state awards to players and members of the team.

In his turn the Chairman of the Rubin Board Marat Safiullin thanked Rustam Minnikahnov for support and the Chief Coach of the club Rashid Rakhimov said: “I can promise that none of those players who will come on the pitch will be indifferent!”

At the meeting the team handed in Rustam Minnikhanov the memorial gold medal of the competitions and a t-shirt with signatures of footballers.
