Rustam Minnikhanov meets Turkish Deputy Minister of Trade Mahmut Gürcan

On July 18, during his working visit to the City of Konya (Turkey), the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Turkish Deputy Minister of Trade Mahmut Gürcan.

Mahmut Gürcan emphasized the great contribution of Tatarstan to the development of interregional cooperation between Russia and Turkey. “We attach great importance to the development of trade and economic relations with Tatarstan. We carry out consistent work in this direction,” he said and expressed interest in developing trade and investment cooperation with Tatarstan: “Turkish companies choose Tatarstan to enter the Russian market. You have always supported our investors and we thank you for this support. I hope your visit to Turkey will give a new impetus to the development of our relations”.

Turkish Deputy Minister  also highly appreciated the work of Rustam Minnikhanov as the head of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group. The Rais of Tatarstan thanked the Turkish Ministry of Trade for supporting Tatarstan-Turkish cooperation. “We will continue to actively work with Turkish partners. Today our turnover exceeds 1.2 billion US dollars, the dynamics is very positive. But that is no reason to relax. On the contrary, we came to Konya to find new partners, invite them to Russia, thus to intensify our business relations”, Minnikhanov emphasized.
