Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the 45th session of Tatarstan State Council

On 13 July the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the 45th session of Tatarstan State Council held by the Chairman of the Council Farid Mukhametshin.

The participants of the session considered 37 issues including the appointment of members and a Chairman of the Tatarstan Constitutional Council.

The Head of the Office of the Rais of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov introduced Ilgiz Gilyazon as a candidate for the position of the Chairman from the Rais, characterizing him as an experienced lawyer well-known in the republic and Russia and the organizer of the judicial system.

Farit Mukhametshin introduced Roman Gafarov and Elmira Mustafina to the position of members of the Constitutional Council and the State Council approved all candidates, also having passed a decree of the Council on appointing Ilgiz Gilyazov to the position of the Chairman of the Constitutional Council. 

The members of the State Council also listened to the report of regional Minister of Transport and Road Economy Farit Khanifov about main spheres of development of the transport complex and its infrastructure, who said that currently more than 65 300 people are employed in the transport sphere including 25 700 in freight transportation.

In his turn Farid Mukhametshin told about work done by the regional Parliament in the first six months of the current year, including 56 laws passed and more than 200 decrees issued. He said that one of the most important issues of the Council Presidium field session agenda was discussion of the issue of patriotic upbringing of young residents of the republic.
