Rustam Minnikhanov hands in the Medal of “100 years of the Establishment of TASSR” to Consul General of Turkey in Kazan Ismet Erikan

On July 12, at the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Consul General of Turkey in Kazan Ismet Erikan, who is completing his diplomatic activity in Tatarstan, which he began in 2019.

Minnikhanov thanked Erikan for his great contribution to the development of cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkey under Russian-Turkish relations.

He emphasized that Turkey is one of the leading foreign partners of Tatarstan. Contacts are developing with the direct participation of the Turkish Consulate General in Kazan, which carries out a great deal of work in the trade, economic, social and humanitarian spheres and is an efficient mechanism for strengthening ties between our fraternal peoples, the Rais of Tatarstan underlined.

Rustam Minnikhanov wished Ismet Erikan success in his new post and handed in a medal in honor of “100th anniversary of the establishment of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic” to him.
