Rustam Minnikhanov visits the Cathedral Mosque in Kuzbass capital and gets acquainted with the project of the Tatar National Cultural Centre

On July 1, during his working visit to Kemerovo, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Governor of Kemerovo region Sergey Tsivilev, visited a number of facilities, including the cathedral mosque “Munira”, where he talked to the mufti of Kemerovo region, Chairman of the regional public organization of the Tatar national and cultural autonomy Tagir khazrat Bikchantaev.

Last year, a stele in honor of the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria was opened in the garden of the mosque.

Rustam Minnikhanov also visited the new embankment of the Tom River, laid flowers at the memorial of the Soldier-Liberator, visited the Kemerovo Presidential Cadet School and the regional branch of the State Fund «Defenders of the Fatherland» in the Justice Quarter.
