On 26 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in ceremonial events on the occasion of the 235th birthday of the Kazan State Gunpowder Plant.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that it is the team which makes the plant special and today there are more than 2 500 people working at the plant. “They are professionals who take their jobs with high responsibility. I would like to express deep gratitude to every employee for his and her work,” he said.
He separately thanked old stagers of the plant by saying: “You have established labour traditions and there are whole dynasties working at the plant. Your master craft and experience are passed to young employees. Today the plant is developing mostly due to your experience.”
In conclusion Rustam Minnikhanov wished the plant further development and new labour feats and handed in a number of state awards.
In his turn the Director General of the plant Aleksandr Livshits said: “Our special pride is our employees, with labour dynasties occupying a special place among them as we have 160 labour dynasties.”
After the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov looked round the photo exposition dedicated to the plant history and talked to employees.
