On 22 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko took part in a ceremony of opening a branch of Children’s Policlinic 6 in the Settlement of Derbyshki in Kazan.
The facility is located inside the residential community with convenient access roads and a parking and has all conditions for comfortable attendance of patients, such as the admission office, the pediatric unit, specialists’ offices, ultrasound and ESG rooms and the day patient department, a cafeteria and all conditions for disabled people.
The new medical facility is intended to have 180 visits a day and has all necessary modern equipment and the 24-hour traumatology center.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “This is one of the projects implemented in the republic together with our federal colleagues. There are many of them and we express our sincere gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin. We have a lot to tell about and to be proud of. We have taken into account all directions from Mikhail Mishustin and will achieve all technical indicators.”
In his turn Mikhail Murashko said: “It is very gratifying that such attention is attached to children’s healthcare, new medical children’s facilities are opened every week. They are rehabilitation centers and hospitals, and today it is a policlinic.”
He stated that the children’s care situation in the country has changed a great deal. ”Starting from birth a child passes a number of special tests for revealing inborn and hereditary illnesses. Today we are the first country which makes this number of tests for newborns,” he added.
