Rustam Minnikhanov meets Director General of MegaFon Khachatur Pombukhchan

On 15 June on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Director General of MegaFon Telecommunications Company Khachatur Pombukhchan. The MegaFon is one of the main partners of Tatarstan with 1.8m subscribers and provided mobile communication during the World Summer Universiade 2012, the Worldskills 2019 Championship and other important events hosted by Kazan. 

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Currently the republic is implementing large-scale road construction projects, one of which is Alekseevskoye-Almetyevsk highway and there is a problem with high quality communication. We count on your help to solve this issue and provide mobile communication for settlements and the road infrastructure along the highway.”

In his turn Khachatur Pombukhchan said: “I would like to thank you for the meeting as we have very warm relations with the republic.” He also emphasized that the company is interested in expanding cooperation with Tatarstan, in particular with a number of companies of the republic. On the top of that MegaFon is also interested in taking part in large international projects being implemented in Tatarstan, he said.
