Rustam Minnikhanov meets the CEO of the China National Chemical Engineering Co.

On 14 June at their meeting on the sidelines of the St Petersburg Economic Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the China National Chemical Engineering Co. Ltd (CNCEC) He Gen Dai discussed issues of ramping up mutually beneficial cooperation. 
Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov stated that the republic already has good history of relations with the CNCEC and reminded about joint project of Ammonia in Mendeleyevsk.
In the whole China is the strategic partner of our country, he said and reminded that quite recently he visited Shanghai and a number of Chinese provinces. He also informed that Tatarstan has 7 agreements signed with Chinese provinces and the Consulate of China in Kazan. 
Rustam Minnikhanov also told that the trade turnover between the republic and China increased by 58 per cent in 2022, showing the substantial growth also in the first three months of the current year. 
“Today we need a new impetus in our relations and we must implement new joint projects,” he concluded. 
In his turn He Gen Dai reminded that he and Rustam Minnikhanov met also on the sidelines of the St Petersburg Forum three years ago. “Our cooperation is based on mutual trust and understanding”, he said and assured that Chinese partners are interested in broadening the scope of cooperation.  Having reminded about interaction with the Special Economic Zone of Alabuga, He Gen Dai said that one of promising projects is the production of fertilizers.

Some of the spheres the Chinese company specializes in are oil prospecting, chemistry and petroleum chemistry, implementing its projects in more than 50 countries all over the world.
