Minister of Education of Armenia: There is a lot to learn from Innopolis

On 9 June the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan accompanied by Russian Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Konstantin Mogilevskiy and Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov visited the main infrastructural facilities of the City of Innopolis.
In particular during the visit to the Popov Technical Park she was told about possibilities of the city with 5 000 permanent residents and 2 600 people commuting to work every day  and the Special Economic Zone of Innopolis with 338 companies, which created more than 7000 jobs.
At the Innopolis University Zhanna Andreasyan was informed that the faculty of 152 people from 15 different countries teaches more than 1 000 students from 40 countries. She was also told about federal AI and robotics centers and projects implemented by the university for large industrial companies.
During her visit to the Innopolis Lyceum, she was especially impressed by achievements of teachers , in particular by Arman Kostanyan winning the regional stage of the All-Russia competition “The Teacher of the Year” and the lyceum director Nadezhda Sulimova being among 5 top winners of the professional competition “The Director of the Year in Russia”.
After having a ride on the unmanned Yandex taxi-cab, Zhanna Andreasyan said: “I think there is a lot to learn from Innopolis both in the city -building and education as both the University and the Lyceum are examples of innovational education. I was impressed by work being done in Innopolis in the sphere of IT and production as it is a synergy of absolutely different processes. I hope for further cooperation with Innopolis and in-depth development of joint tasks.”
