Rustam Minnikhanov meets Minister of Education and Higher Education of the State of Qatar Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi

On June 8, on the sidelines of the International Forum of Education Ministers “Shaping the Future” held at the Bashir Rameev IT park, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Minister of Education and Higher Education of the State of Qatar Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi.

Welcoming the guest, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Qatar is an important and reliable partner of Russia in the Middle East. “We attach great importance to interaction with the Islamic world, with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. It is important to cooperate in the scientific, educational, cultural and tourism spheres. I am convinced that we need to consider the possibility of joint scientific research in areas that are important for our countries, including with the participation of young scientists”.

Separately Rustam Minnikhanov focused on the project of the Bolgar Islamic Academy, which helps to preserve the cultural traditions of Islam and form a careful attitude to Islamic education and science.

In turn, the Minister of Education and Higher Education of the State of Qatar thanked for the warm welcome and the opportunity to exchange experiences within the framework of the International Forum, to discuss a number of important topics with colleagues.
