The International Forum of Education Ministers “Shaping the Future” continues its work in Kazan

On 8 June the Aid of Russian President Andrey Fursenko, Russian Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov, the Minister of Science and Education of the country Valeriy Falkov and Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev took part in a morning session of the International Forum of Education Ministers “Shaping the Future”, which is held in Kazan from 7 to 11 June with participation of ministers of Education from more than 20 foreign countries and representatives from regions of Russia.

In the beginning of the session Russian President Vladimir Putin greeted its participants via video conference.

In his speech Mintimer Shaimiev said that today he is feeling himself as a schoolboy at the demonstration lesson. “It is a very important meeting. The most difficult is to preserve and develop education according to requirements of the current situation in the world. No matter what we are going through, the authority of a teacher, respect to him and the attitude to the education system are always the most important things. The role of a teacher is important in live of anyone of us. Today’s meeting is a good one from all points of view. I wish you to continue your work in the same constructive mood. It is never late to study,” he said and thanked participants and organizers of the forum.
