Rustam Minnikhanov launches the construction of a spiritual complex on the territory of the Children’s Regional Clinical Hospital

On June 1, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Mufti of Tatarstan Kamil Khazrat Samigullin, Metropolitan of Tatarstan and Kazan Kirill and Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia Mikhail Shmakov took part in the ceremony of launching the construction of a spiritual complex “Quiet Garden” on the territory of the Children’s Regional Clinical Hospital.

The spiritual complex will consist of a mosque and an Orthodox church. The idea to create a new facility belongs to the parents of Children’s Regional Clinical Hospital patients. Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized the importance of the project and stressed that the Quiet Garden should become a symbol of the unity of the two religions.

“When a person has some problems, he is looking where he can go and find peace of his soul. All conditions will be created here», he said.

Then, the ceremony participants laid capsules in the foundation of the future spiritual complex.
