Rustam Minnikhanov at a ceremony of passing in the speed passenger vehicle Meteor-2020 “Mikhail Devyataev”: These are modern ships with new characteristics

On 1 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Director General of the State Transport Leasing Company Yevgeniy Ditrikh, Deputy Head, of the Federal Agency of River and Sea Transport Konstantin Anisimov and the Director General of the Ak Bars holding company Ivan Yegorov took part in a ceremony of passing in the speed passenger vehicle Meteor-2020 “Mikhail Devyataev to the Tatarstan Fleet Company held in the Kazan River Port.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov said that launching of new ships is a landmark event and emphasized that the ships were manufactured by the plant after Gorgy in the republic. “These are modern ships with absolutely new characteristics. The transport accessibility is one of the constituents of quality of life. We have done a lot in the sphere of passengers transportation such as buses and electric transport, and today we are launching two ships with the third one to be ready in a month. I think it will be a systemic work and we will completely novelize the fleet”, he said and handed in the Letter of Gratitude from the Rais of Tatarstan to the team of the plant.
In his turn, Yevgeniy Ditrikh said: “Today the domestic shipbuilding needs new projects presupposing high level of technologies and Tatarstan is not an exception in this respect. It was here at the Zelenodolsk plant that the first passenger ship driven by LNG was manufactured. The cooperation of Tatarstan and the State Transport Leasing Company has a long history and we are sure this interaction will make it possible to fulfill the programme of development of domestic shipbuilding which presupposes manufacture of more than 260 various use civil ships.”
