Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a meeting of the Governmental Commission on development of SMEs held in Moscow

On 29 May during his working trip to Moscow the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of the Governmental Commission on development of SMEs held by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in Moscow.

The participants of the meeting discussed the gained experience in implementation of the industry-specific national project, discussed SMEs support measures and set up main tasks for the medium-term horizon.

Speaking at the meeting, Mikhail Mishustin stated that despite all difficulties the number of SMEs grew employing more than 28m people according to the results of the last three months of 2022. He said this happened first of all due to nearly 4 million individual entrepreneurs and 7.5m self-employed.

Informing about business measures implemented in the country, the Russian Prime Minister said that last year about 1.2 trillion roubles of loans with preferential rate were allocated to social and young entrepreneurs and more than 7 trillion were allocated on state companies procurement quotas.

Mikhail Mishustin also said that SMEs checks moratorium introduced last year was an important decision which decreased the administrative load. “As a result the number of checks dropped to the historical minimum of fewer than 340 000. We are glad that in its turn business also did the work responsibly and conscientiously as instead of imposing fines the auditors were aimed at prevention the faults. They helped entrepreneurs and explained them how everything should be done,” he said.
