Rustam Minnikhanov: Entrepreneurs have always been and remain an active and enterprising part of the population

On May 26, speaking at a meeting with the business community of the republic held at the Entrepreneur’s House in Kazan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan said that entrepreneurs have always been and remain an active and enterprising part of the population.

Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the participants of the meeting on the Day of Russian Entrepreneurship. “During the period of global changes, you showed acumen and resilience, saved jobs, thereby making a huge contribution to maintaining the social stability of society,” he emphasized.

The Rais of Tatarstan said that the republic is carrying out consistent work to create favorable conditions for the development of entrepreneurial initiative. A set of federal and regional support measures is being implemented, including soft loans, subsidies, microloans and guarantees, grant support programmes for start-up entrepreneurs, and free services for the development of their own business. Today, in Tatarstan, there are about 100 industrial parks, where 1.5 thousand residents are operating. Over 57 thousand jobs have been created.

Separately, he mentioned the systematic work to reduce administrative pressure on business in the republic. The extension of the moratorium on scheduled inspections had a significant effect. Thus, since 2020, the number of unscheduled inspections has decreased by 7 times. Minnikhanov emphasized that Tatarstan was one of the first Russian regions to adopt its programme for the development of the e-commerce industry. Systematic work on training entrepreneurs is carried out, which gives positive results.

Minnikhanov said that in the conditions of disruption of traditional logistics and production chains, the republic is actively involved in solving the problems of providing Tatarstan enterprises with raw materials and components, as well as delivering finished products to partners.

Then, the meeting participants spoke about the implementation of their business projects, the use of various support measures, the experience of entering foreign markets, and also informed about a number of proposals.

At the end of the meeting, Minnikhanov emphasized the importance of such meetings and assured that the republic will always support local businesses.
